The iconic giant slalom, which takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, leads over the challenging course from the Wildspitz mountain station at 3,210 meters altitude to the middle station and is accompanied by an extensive supporting program with extended mountain railway operating hours.

The Stubai Wild Ride once again brings together professional athletes and ambitious amateur skiers for the giant slalom on the Stubai Glacier this year, under the motto "Epic Rides. Epic Valley." They all have to master the mix of steep sections, long gliding stretches, technical challenges, and the final fast descent to the finish. After a flying start from the "Wildspitz" chairlift at 3,210 meters, the course descends 920 vertical meters and features around 160 gates to the Fernau mid-station. The ultimate challenge: endurance, concentration, and skiing technique.
The Stubai Wild Ride is so special because it is equally demanding, and the mix of participants from professionals and amateur athletes, the spectacular route and the atmospheric supporting program at the middle station make it so special.
The race is accompanied by a diverse supporting program. On Friday, April 17th, the official warm-up party with DJ in-Style & Friends will get visitors in the mood, before the opening ceremony takes place in the Neustift village pub in the evening. After the finish and the awards ceremony, the atmosphere will reach new heights on Saturday, April 18th: The after-race party with the Kronehit BergBeat Tour at the Fernau mid-station will provide a musical finale and festive fans celebrating against an impressive glacier panorama. For added convenience, the cable car operating hours will be extended on both days – special spectator tickets will also be available on site. This allows pedestrians without winter sports equipment to join the parties and cheer on the participants at the finish line.
The Stubai Wild Ride 2026 will once again be an energetic sporting event in a high-alpine setting with a sunny skiing atmosphere. More information and current updates are available at [website address]. www.stubai-wild-ride.com to find.
