There are many Christmas markets. But only a few truly prioritize romance over commercialism. In Ellmau (Tyrol), special attention was paid to creating a harmonious setting, staging "Ellmi's Magical Mountain Advent" where the fascination of the pre-Christmas season is best felt—right in the snow-covered forest, high up on the mountain. In front of you, only the imposing evening backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser and a starry winter sky.

The scent of gingerbread and mulled wine beckons every Friday and Saturday (from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.). In the enchanted forest surrounding the Bergkaiser panoramic restaurant, visitors can explore seven stations on a leisurely walk. Each individual Christmas hut is fascinating in its own unique way.

"Angel Voices & Christmas Stories" is the suggestive title of one station. At the next, visitors will find Christmas tree decorations and children's Christmas trees from times long past. It goes without saying that food and drink will be available along the torch-lined BERGADVENT trail; but here, too, the organizers don't forget that everything they offer is meant to be an authentic pre-Christmas experience.

The “high-altitude character” of the Ellmau BERGADVENT should not scare anyone, as the ultra-modern XLarge 10-seater gondola comfortably takes you to the destination and back down to the valley.
