When the lights go on in the Planai Stadium on December 5, 2025, Schladming-Dachstein will kick off the winter season with a real bang.
The Schladming-Dachstein tourism region with the 4-mountain ski area Schladming (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and ReiteralmThe Backstreet Boys and international concert promoter Klaus Leutgeb are once again causing a sensation with what is likely to be the most legendary ski opening in the Austrian mountains. After six years, the most successful boy band of all time returns to Austria on December 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2025. Together with thousands of fans and a captivating stage show, the Backstreet Boys will open the 2025/26 winter season at the Planai Stadium.
The Backstreet Boys have been thrilling fans worldwide since the 1990s with timeless hits like "I Want It That Way," "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," "As Long As You Love Me," and "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)." In addition to these classics, fans at the 2025 Ski Opening in Schladming-Dachstein can also look forward to new material: On July 11th, their anniversary album Millennium 2.0 was released, a reissue of their 1999 album Millennium.
