After its successful debut in 2023, ZGONC will again be the main sponsor of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2025.

"As a private company with deep roots in Austria, it is a matter close to our hearts to support the national sport and to convey our brand values such as quality, commitment and reliability. There is also a personal component: I grew up in the region, namely in Saalfelden, and know the slopes there like the back of my hand.", explains Michael Dockal, Managing Director of ZGONC, the motivation for the main sponsorship of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, which will take place in Saalbach from 4 to 16 February 2025. And Hans Knauß, ZGONC brand ambassador and skiing legend, comments on the sponsorship as follows: "ZGONC and the Ski World Championships at home - that's the best and fits together perfectly. This sponsorship is not only a strong signal for the sport, but also for the region and the audience worldwide."

ZGONC will be prominently presenting itself during the World Cup: The start house, the finish arch and the exit gates will shine in the company's striking yellow. In addition, the start numbers for the men's races and all gate flags will be branded with the ZGONC logo. ZGONC and the Ski World Cup are also a "perfect match" in terms of sustainability as a future-oriented sporting event. The company with leading battery expertise in Austria supports sustainable e-mobility: VW ID. BUZZ GTX will connect the sports venues as ZGONC VIP shuttles. And work gloves made from recycled PET bottles from the ocean were produced especially for the Ski World Cup.

Speaking of sustainability: ZGONC is preparing for the future and investing heavily in sustainable solutions. The majority of the company's own branches have already been equipped with photovoltaic systems to ensure an environmentally friendly energy supply. ZGONC already covers half of the company's energy needs with this. By the end of 2025, capacity will be increased to 2.1 megawatts peak - more than annual energy consumption. With LED technology and completely modernized branches, ZGONC has positioned the company and its branches for the future. The self-generated energy will supply all locations in the future and can also be used for the e-charging stations of the growing electric vehicle fleet.

A further step in the company's sustainability strategy is the expansion of the e-charging infrastructure. By 2026, ZGONC will have built a total of 130 charging points at 18 of a total of 38 locations. The company is relying on SMATRICS EnBW as an experienced partner for ultra-fast charging. So-called high-power chargers are used, i.e. ultra-fast charging stations with up to 400 kW output and a direct payment terminal. Depending on the vehicle's input power, electricity for a range of up to 400 kilometers can be charged in just 15 minutes. Payment is made directly at the charging station via card payment with VISA, Mastercard, Google Pay or Apple Pay or the SMATRICS charging card.
