Until the beginning of April, sunny skiing, events and sporting action ensure an atmospheric season finale in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena – before new bike highlights and family experiences open up spring.

The legendary Waterslide Contest will take place on April 4, 2026. The next round takes place in Berwang. Participants in colorful outfits brave the water basin on skis or snowboards, creating spectacular scenes and a lively atmosphere. A special event experience for participants and spectators alike to mark the end of the season in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. 

Kick-off to the bike season in Lermoos 

Just a few weeks after the winter season finale, the biking season kicks off in spring. From May 14th to 16th, 2026, the Bike Opening in Lermoos invites visitors to three days full of action and inspiration: a diverse program awaits, including an expo, trial shows, guided tours, workshops, food trucks, and a DJ. 

New Zugspitze Bike Park in Ehrwald

A special highlight for bikers is the new Zugspitze Bike Park on the Wetterstein mountain in Ehrwald, which will open following the Bike Opening on May 17, 2026. The park offers three varied trails and impressive views of the Zugspitze massif. Ideal for beginners as well as experienced bikers, the park opens up new possibilities on two wheels. At the opening, guests can look forward to a lively program with music, refreshing drinks, and culinary treats.

New forest slide park for the whole family

From summer 2026, the new forest slide park at Wetterstein in Ehrwald will expand the leisure activities available for families. Several spectacular slides in different designs and lengths wind through the forest, providing fun and variety.
