At the Biohotel Rupertus in Leogang, green lifestyle meets dolce vita and extraordinary winter experiences - all in a pleasant, unobtrusive way. Winter sports fans can not only look forward to the hotel's exceptional cuisine, the ski-in ski-out option, or a special wellness area, but also to the Ski World Championships, which are taking place very close by in Saalbach Hinterglemm.

It is the only hotel in the famous winter sports resort of Leogang that is 100 percent organic, sustainable and regional - and thus makes winter holidays truly green: the Biohotel Rupertus in Leogang, which has already received several awards for its green concept. "We are committed to organic food – and have been since 1977, when my father opened the hotel. Good food has always been important to us and it is nice to know that our unique approach is also appreciated by our guests“, says Nadja Blumenkamp, who plays an important role in the Rupertus as hostess and member of the owner family. For us, sustainability and regionality go far beyond the kitchen and begin with building biology, energy and travel."

The green lifestyle is not only good for your conscience towards the environment, it also gives you the security of being able to enjoy high-quality, 100 percent organic and regional food on holiday, even vegan if you wish. After all, there is a vegan menu on the menu every day - a pretty unique selling point in the local holiday hotel industry. Anyone who loves meat can get the best organic meat from regional farmers and anyone who lives vegan or just wants to be inspired - with one course or a whole menu - can enjoy the imaginative creations of the Rupertus kitchen team. And they have even been decorated with two Gault Millau toques. The art that the family-run organic hotel Rupertus has mastered combines the natural, but never ostentatious, green attitude to life with a feeling for the "Dolce Vita" in the mountains. A wonderful lightness that makes the Rupertus a feel-good place.

Highlight Ski World Championships
Another important point: From the Rupertus you can glide directly from the hotel onto the slopes and leave your mark on freshly groomed runs - ski-in ski-out, just as you wish. The Ski World Cup and World Championships also give the entire Saalfelden-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski region a special flair: the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships are scheduled to take place in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang Ski Circus in February 2025. A festival for ski fans, where you can, for example, go skiing "early bird" in the morning, then enjoy a fortifying organic breakfast in the Rupertus and then cheer along with the pros in the finish arena on the other side of the mountain. The green philosophy also fits in with the fact that the World Cup venues can be reached very easily by shuttle or on skis. And that in Leogang, special attention was paid to energy efficiency in the modern Asitzkogel cable car and that the HVO100 renewable fuel has moved away from fossil fuels and towards a saving of up to 90 percent in CO2 emissions. Incidentally, all lifts and slopes will be in full operation during the World Cup.

Free for Kids
It is also worth mentioning that the Rupertus supports beginners between the ages of three and five. To get them excited about skiing, the kids get everything for free on certain dates until April 2025: 5 half-day beginners' ski courses in the morning, 6 days of ski pass and ski rental and 7 nights' accommodation including the booked meals in the room of two (paying) adults. An insider tip not only for families, but also for friends with kids who want to do something sporty for their offspring.

Gentle tourism and wellness pleasure
Those staying at the Rupertus can also enjoy the gentler side of winter, such as the silence of winter hiking or snowshoeing, having fun cross-country skiing, tobogganing or ice skating, or simply building a snowman with the children in the garden. For yoga fans, competent trainers hold yoga classes five times a week in the wood-scented yoga room, even in winter.

The modern wellness and pool area in the Rupertus is characterized by high-quality, mostly local materials. With a feeling for a harmonious overall effect, hostess Nadja Blumenkamp chose the delicate natural, rose and green tones herself because they harmonize perfectly with light wood. In this way, green lifestyle, natural beauty and modern design merge with the surrounding nature and the Leogang Steinberge. Fitness-conscious guests can swim their laps in the 22-meter-long heated indoor and outdoor pool. Other highlights in the wellness area are the relaxation rooms with loungers and cozy sofas as well as the saunas: the round panoramic sauna with ice fountain in the adults-only area and the family herbal sauna with "family nests" by the pool. There are also spa treatments with products from the organic cosmetics manufacturer "Marías" from Salzburg, among others.
organic winter winegrowers
Once you're relaxed and full of the day's experiences, you can sit down with other Rupertus guests at a large wooden table and immerse yourself in the world of Austrian and French organic wines: on five dates, every Wednesday in January and February, they come to Rupertus themselves to speak at the large wine table about the challenges of organic winemaking. And to taste the results with everyone, with lots of enthusiasm and passion. The Wieninger, Hartl, Fritsch, Stagard and Gerard Bertand wineries are taking part in the new "Winter Winegrowers" offer.
