    Zillertal
    Unlimited freedom beckons

The Zillertal is one of the most diverse ski valleys in the Tyrolean Alps with a total of over 500 kilometers of slopes and 180 cable cars and lifts. The southernmost side valley of the Inn Valley is 47 kilometers long from Strass to the end of the valley in Hintertux. It combines four holiday regions and includes seven ski areas, which in turn are connected to four large areas. Each ski area has its own special advantages and highlights for ambitious winter sports enthusiasts, leisure skiers, families with children, and freestyle and freeride fans.

Fügen-Kaltenbach, Hochzillertal-Hochfügen and Spieljoch are located at the valley entrance, where the Zillertal is at its sunniest and widest. Freeriders will find numerous off-piste opportunities in Hochfügen, and freestylers can show off their skills on numerous kickers in the Betterpark Hochzillertal. The focus is also on enjoyable skiing with a stop-off: stylish huts and award-winning restaurants provide a wide range of culinary delights against a stunning mountain backdrop. A special feature are the "Zwergerl Clubs" guest kindergartens at the mountain stations on the Spieljoch, in Hochzillertal and Hochfügen.

Mayrhofen-Hippbach, Mountopolis. The latter is the adventure world of the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen with the mountain duo Penken and Ahorn. The Ahorn offers sunny and wide carving slopes. For families with children there is the FamilyPark and the AlbertAdler Tour with adventurous steep curves, tunnels and fun snow waves. The tough 5.5-kilometer-long, black valley run to Mayrhofen is a highlight. If you are looking for a sporting challenge, you can't miss the Penken. Austria's steepest slope awaits you here: the legendary Harakiri with a 78 percent gradient. There is also plenty of action in the PenkenPark, one of the best snow parks in Europe.

Zell-Gerlos, Zillertal Arena, is the largest, connected ski area in the Zillertal and stretches from Zell am Ziller via Gerlos to Wald-Königsleiten and Krimml-Hochkrimml. Skiers and snowboarders will find a wide range of options. The ski area reaches up to 2,500 meters above sea level. The Zillertal Arena is also particularly popular with experts and connoisseurs of the freestyle scene: the Kreuzwiese Action Park with snake run and bag jump and the Gerlos Snow Park, as well as the Königsleiten boardercross course make a day of skiing an action-packed experience. "Good Morning Skiing" and "Moonlight Skiing & Dinner" make it possible to meet the sun and the moon on the slopes. The small Gerlosstein ski area is ideal for families and anyone who wants to enjoy a day of skiing away from the large ski areas. The Gerlosstein tandem cable car takes you directly from Hainzenberg up to the ski area.

Tux-Finkenberg, Zillertal 3000 The ski mountains Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg, Penken/Mayrhofen and Ahorn form the Zillertal 3000 Ski & Glacier World. The snow-covered valley runs to Tux-Vorderlanersbach, Tux-Lanersbach and Hintertux complete the offer. A special treat is the valley run "Schwarze Pfanne", which leads directly to the center of Hintertux. A separate double page is dedicated to the ski area on the Hintertux Glacier (chapter Glacier).
