Coming to the Zillertal you will soon see the Spieljoch on the right hand side after the motorway. After a very short journey, you can comfortably take the 10-person gondola up to the summit regions, where varied terrain awaits you to suit all needs. An alternative winter fun option is the 5.5-kilometer-long toboggan run. The Spieljoch and Hochfügen ski areas are connected by a free shuttle bus.

The wide slopes of Hochfügen made it seem like a mistake to skim over them anyway: In between lie the fine pistes and tempting freeride areas of Hochfügen, which of course can also be used with the same lift ticket. Last but not least, the descents from Pfaffenbühel are of the very best. A little further south, the Hochzillertal is a brilliant area that not only offers elegant summit hotels, but also has particularly pleasant culinary stops. For example, you can enjoy just as high-quality food at lunchtime at the "upscale Italian" Albergo or the chic summit houses Kristall- and Wedelhütte as you can in the evening in the valley.

The parallel The two cable cars from Kaltenbach ensure a comfortable ascent to higher regions. While the longest valley run at Spieljoch catches the eye, it is not so easy to pick out individual runs in the extensive Hochzillertal area. Our tip: the freeride run under the Wedelexpress chairlift. Another option is to use the Eberharter Goldpiste for a quick descent into the valley.
