The managing director of the Vienna Snowsports Academy was honored for his role as ambassador for the element of snow and alpine skiing at a large-scale sporting event in Wiener Neudorf.

Martin Dolezal is someone who can rightfully be called an ambassador for snow and alpine skiing, dedicated to maintaining and spreading enthusiasm for the sport in Austria and around the world. As Managing Director of the Vienna Snow Academy Austria, he is responsible for training approximately 3,000 ski and snowboard instructors annually – roughly half of them from European and Arab countries. As a partner of indoor ski centers in Dubai and Egypt, he is involved in the development of snow sports and has been responsible for the training of all ski instructors there from the very beginning – a flagship project for international snow sports development. Furthermore, he leads training programs in numerous other countries, including China, the Netherlands, Argentina, Lesotho, Georgia, and Greece, thus making a significant contribution to the professionalization of snow sports on a global scale. He also serves as a consultant for indoor ski centers and ski resort development. He is therefore a more than worthy recipient of a Ski Guide Austria Award.
The award, presented annually by Ski Guide Austria for innovative ideas, creative initiatives, or outstanding commitment, was recently given to Martin Dolezal at a large-scale event in Wiener Neudorf by Ski Guide Austria publisher Günter Fritz and project manager Werner Hascher. The event, where Golf House, iFLOW, and Wien Ski Connect presented a new collaboration and the Golf & Ski Challenge 2026 – a unique combination of a ski race on the Stuhleck and a golf tournament in Brunn am Gebirge – was announced, attracted numerous celebrities. These included presenter Ulrike Kriegler, ski coach and Winning Strategies CEO Mathias Berthold, Thomas Ebster from iFLOW, SK Rapid managing director Steffen Hofmann, his former coach Peter Stöger, Andreas Schiller and Markus Setscheny from Golf House, former beach volleyball player Oliver Stamm, tennis star Stefan Koubek, Michael Tröthandl from Golfclub Fontana, and model Beatrice Turin, who also provided musical entertainment with her band.
