The series of events in Gastein will kick off with the 25th Visa FIS Snowboard World Cup, which has now become one of the most important and popular events on the World Cup Tour. The parallel slalom competitions for snowboarders (men, women and mixed) on the Bucheben promise thrilling duels between the snowboard elite again this year. The highlight is the spectacular floodlit competition on Tuesday evening, followed by the team competition on Wednesday. From January 23rd to 26th, 2025, the GRAND LIGHTHOUSE Festival is coming back to Bad Gastein and this year the focus is once again on the combination of electronic music, art and winter sports. With an underground music program, unique locations such as the dance floors in the Grand Hotel de l'Europe, the Alpine Panorama Rave on the Stubnerkogel at 2,200 m and the Grand Pool Party in the Felsentherme, special festival experiences are guaranteed. Artists such as DJ Hell, Sedef Adasi, Shanti Celeste and Steffi will be there, and the artistic highlight is the light installation ECLIPSE by the media artist collective lichterloh, which stages a glowing aluminum sculpture above the Gastein waterfall. "Ice4Life" will be in Bad Gastein for the third time from January 31 to February 2, 2025. The cold triathlon consists of running, cross-country skiing and an ice bath. It is not so important who crosses the finish line first. The winners are all those who take part and do something good for themselves and their health. Under the motto "Fairy Tale", the Gastein Valley will be transformed into a fascinating snow art exhibition from February 1 to 7, 2025 at Art on Snow. In Dorfgastein, a drive-through Sleeping Beauty castle will be created out of 54m³ of snow, which is six meters wide, three meters deep and three meters high. Other highlights include the Frog Prince on the Stubnerkogel and a dragon on the Fulseck winter hiking trail, and in Sportgastein, the ice sculpture of an eagle is impressive. The open-air concert series Musik:Wohnzimmer offers a different live band every week from February 6, 2025 - from Austropop to modern rock, from pop to hits.
