This year, too, participants in the Dachstein Run, which takes place from 10 to 12 January, can expect plenty of sporting action in various disciplines, including a 40-kilometre route across the entire Ramsau Plateau, a team skating competition, children's races and a culinary delight run.
The organizers around the Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Association and the WSV Ramsau are taking up the basic idea of the popular cross-country skiing with the Dachstein Run, which was redesigned last year, and want to encourage as many sports enthusiasts as possible to take part. The wide-ranging supporting program and the various competitions mean that there is something for all cross-country skiers - whether professional, amateur or nature lover - and everyone who wants to take part is guaranteed to find the right route.
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, there will even be a special “Kids Race” for the youngest Nordic athletes from 3:00 p.m. and the highlight on Sunday, January 12, 2025 is the “Dachstein Genusslauf”, which combines cross-country skiing with regional cuisine under the motto “Full enjoyment in one run”. Various dishes from local businesses can be sampled along a 5-kilometer route.
