The ice rink at Mozartplatz in Salzburg has reopened and young and old can leave their marks in the ice until January 31, 2026.

Last season, more than 20,000 skaters took the opportunity to leave their mark on the ice at "Ice Magic at Mozartplatz." And this year, skating enthusiasts can once again enjoy the unique atmosphere of Salzburg's Old Town while skating on natural ice. "Ice Magic at Mozartplatz," which has been running for 20 years and is being organized for the fourth time by the Salzburg Christmas Market, is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. until January 31, 2026. Discounted tickets are available for evening skating starting at 7:00 p.m. Season tickets are also available at affordable rates. Skates and helmets can be rented on-site for those without their own equipment.

Thanks to a partnership with Raiffeisen, a free morning program for kindergartens and schools will be offered again this season. Children and teenagers can use the ice rink free of charge after prior registration. Last year, 500 young people from 30 educational institutions participated.

A particular highlight of the opening was the performance by young figure skaters from the Salzburg Ice Team, who showcased their impressive skills for Mayor Bernhard Auinger and many other guests. The Salzburg Ice Team unites beginners and professionals and has already produced numerous talented skaters who have competed at European and World Championships as well as the Olympic Games.
