From March 28 to 30, 2025, the Styrian region of Schladming-Dachstein will become a hotspot for para-skiing in the disciplines of Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom.

From 28 to 30 March 2025, the Riesneralm The Austrian National Championships will take place in early February, opening them to international athletes due to weather-related cancellations of individual events at the World Championships in Maribor. Around 120 participants from many nations will compete in the Super-G, Giant Slalom, and Slalom disciplines. In addition to the exciting competitions, spectators can also expect a varied supporting program.
"We are very proud to host this top-class event and look forward to the many great alpine para-ski athletes and their coaches”, says Erwin Petz, Managing Director of Riesneralm Bergbahnen, which, together with the Donnersbachwald Ski Club, is responsible for organizing the Austrian Championships. The three days promise exciting races in a unique atmosphere.”
The starting field features all the renowned athletes competing at the highest level in the three different disciplines. The Super-G kicks off on Friday (March 28), and the giant slalom is on the agenda for Saturday (March 29). After the award ceremonies for both events (starting at 4 p.m.), things will really get going on Saturday evening with the big after-race party. The "Alpenpiraten" (Alpine Pirates) will ensure a lively atmosphere at the Platz'l Riesneralm. And on Sunday (March 30), the "international" Austrian National Championships will enter the grand finale with the slalom.
