Late winter days at high altitude in the Arlberg region are a truly beautiful experience in St. Anton. And the international flair of this Tyrolean ski resort is particularly noticeable at the Valluga Hotel.

It's that special moment when the snow sprays under your skis and the mountains compete with the sun for brilliance – late winter in the Arlberg region is truly an experience. Nestled amidst the imposing high mountain landscape, with 300 kilometers of slopes and 200 kilometers of freeride routes, lies not only Austria's largest interconnected ski area, but also its most diverse. From sporty and challenging to relaxed and enjoyable, the Arlberg reveals many facets. Above all, it is by far the most international ski resort in the country. Here, you're less likely to hear German than a foreign language; English has long been the norm.

Sophisticated, yet youthful and sporty
Especially in the more youthful and sporty St. Anton, the international flair feels even more palpable than on the Vorarlberg side of the Arlberg in the more upscale Zürs, Zug, or Lech. On the Tyrolean side, things are just as sophisticated, but simply more relaxed and informal – and anyone who loves this laid-back feeling will find the Valluga Hotel the perfect place.
In the heart of St. Anton, not far from the cable cars (which also have their own shuttle service), lies this small, elegantly run boutique hotel, a charming retreat after active days on the mountain. Here, Tyrolean coziness and Scandinavian-Swedish lifestyle blend seamlessly. After all, the owner, Mikael Landström, hails from Northern Europe and also owns two hotels in Mallorca.

Warm, feel-good atmosphere
The 27 individually designed rooms of the Valluga Hotel offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Modern amenities, thoughtful details, and a refined sense of intimate style characterize the hotel. The international flair is reflected not only in the architecture but also in the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. Of the approximately 30 employees, only four are from Austria – led by Hotel Manager Franziska Schütz – the rest come from a wide variety of countries, including Switzerland, Hungary, New Zealand, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, and Portugal. Head waiter Tony, for example, was born in South Korea and grew up in Sweden and speaks Spanish, English, German, Swedish, and Portuguese – the ideal employee for such a multicultural hotspot. English is the primary language of communication, as 90 percent of the guests are English-speaking, and many come from the USA.

In the kitchen, however, Spanish is spoken – a result of the chefs, all of whom come from Mallorca. Speaking of the cuisine: it's also impressive. The breakfast buffet is superb, and the internationally inspired dinner, which can be booked as an add-on, leaves nothing to be desired in a stylish setting.

Exclusive living and relaxation experience
The spa area, complete with saunas, indoor pool, relaxation area, massages, and fitness room, complements the exclusive accommodation experience. Two lounges – one featuring a pool table – and the cocktail bar offer the perfect setting to unwind with a selection of drinks at the end of the day. In short: it's the tranquil, welcoming holiday atmosphere, combined with comfort, style, and personalized service, that makes the Valluga Hotel a truly special destination in the Arlberg mountains.

Enjoyable spring skiing
It's a place to bring winter to a stylish close. And in St. Anton, which is experiencing more snow this year than it has in a long time, winter lasts until April 19th. Plenty of time for enjoyable spring skiing and a few events. For example, the "Tanzcafe Arlberg" event series, running from April 4th to 19th, 2026 – a unique musical spectacle with renowned musicians from a wide variety of genres, transforming all five villages in the Arlberg region into one giant open-air stage. Or the legendary mass-start race "Der weisse Rausch" (The White Rush) from the Valluga down to the valley in St. Anton on April 18th, 2026.
