Unterberg – Pernitz

After the Wöllersdorf turn-off on the A2 heading south, you will find yourself in Pernitz after a 20-minute drive. You will pass through the village of Oed and the Unterberg ski area is accordingly remote. But it is precisely this isolation that makes this small ski area with 16 km of slopes and just 4 drag lifts so attractive. Nevertheless, you can almost get as many kilometers of slopes as Hochkar and Ötscher, and there is also a 5 km long valley run. After being taken to the starting point on the mountain in a 10-minute ride on a shuttle bus, you can spend a very nice and enjoyable day skiing - provided there is enough snow, because the Unterberg is a pure natural snow ski area. The Unterberg with its three huts is a rustic insider tip and a real alternative to Semmering and Co.
