As the cradle of alpine skiing, the region combines sporting tradition with international flair and attracts guests from over 60 nations. More than 300 kilometers of marked slopes and around 200 kilometers of off-piste terrain offer ideal conditions for winter sports enthusiasts of all abilities. The diverse offerings range from the 2,811-meter-high Valluga to the slopes of Rendl and Gampen – and those who want to improve their technique will find professional support at the renowned Arlberg ski schools.

Sports, music and winter vibes to kick off the season

The Stanton Ski Open, from December 4th to 6th, 2026, officially kicks off the winter event season. Free ski and snowboard tests, the Arlberg Safety Camp, food trucks, and live music on three stages will create a festival atmosphere. But there's plenty to do off the slopes as well: From December 18th to 20th, 2026, Europe's top pickleball players will compete in the Arlberg Pickleball Championship – European Finals. Spectators can watch the tournament free of charge.

Winter highlights between tradition and adrenaline

For a more contemplative experience, the Advent Magic in the Park will delight visitors with its festive atmosphere on five dates between November 29 and December 20, 2026. From January 6, 2027, the spectacular ski show "Snowdrift" at the Karl-Schranz finish stadium will tell the story of winter sports every Wednesday until mid-March. Around 150 performers will take center stage on skis and snowboards.

The sporting action will resume on March 23 and 24, 2027, when international up-and-coming talents compete against each other in giant slalom and slalom at the FIS Ski Europacup final on the Rendl.

The grand finale: The White Ecstasy

When the sun lingers longer over the peaks in spring, St. Anton reveals its relaxed side. Long days on the slopes, leisurely hours on the sun terraces, and early morning ski tours make the end of the season particularly appealing. For one last adrenaline rush, the legendary "White Rush" race takes place on April 17, 2027. 555 participants simultaneously hurtle down an ungroomed slope from the Valluga towards the valley. Registration opens on December 1, 2026.

The winter season finally ends on April 18, 2027. Until then, St. Anton am Arlberg will prove once again why the Arlberg legend has lost none of its fascination, even after generations.
