Kitzbühel Tourism Managing Director Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser is delighted: "Just in time for the start of the winter season, Kitzbühel is presenting numerous innovations. The dynamism and high quality of the offerings once again demonstrate the continuous development of the destination."

Well-bedded in the Gamsstadt
Relaxation begins with a good night's sleep. Welcoming hosts and high-quality accommodations – like the SEEBICHL Hotel & Restaurant – ensure this. A lakeside house, once designed and furnished by the painter and architect Alfons Walde, then a temporary editing studio for filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl, and later Kitzbühel's first hotel with bathrooms in every room. Today, still under renovation, this jet-black landmark, perched on the hill above the lake, is for all lovers of unadulterated beauty and the creative space of brothers Max and Sebastian Witzmann – two collectors from the heart. The newly built and enlarged terrace invites you to enjoy hot chocolate and homemade cake during the winter season, and for hotel guests, the garden experience is enhanced by an open-air pool heated to 32 degrees Celsius year-round. The new sun deck is also impressive from March to October – because next summer is sure to arrive, while the adjacent Swimwear Living Room awaits on bad weather days. Guests can reach the existing Swiss pine sauna and its relaxation room directly from the garden. For Mountain Getaway corporate clients and retreat groups, the new Meeting & Yoga Loft will be available as a space for workshops, think tanks, and many other formats with the creative atmosphere typical of SEEBICHL starting mid-January 2026. And don't forget: Starting January 11, 2026, the SEEBICHL Hotel & Restaurant will become an ADULTS ONLY space.

Another example is the Löw Chalet Suites – an inviting alpine retreat in the heart of Kitzbühel's old town. A total of three Chalet Suites have been renovated in the historic Lacknerhaus, a 16th-century townhouse, offering a unique blend of rustic beauty, modern comfort, and views of the historic city center.

Where enjoyment is the focus
What could be better than enjoying the culinary arts of the local establishments after a day of skiing or wellness? Like at the Schwarzer Adler Jochberg, founded in 1482 and celebrating its reopening at the end of October 2025. At lunch and dinner, hearty Austrian cuisine, prepared by chef Mario Naschenweng, is offered, and in the afternoon, a snack menu is available for those who are hungry. In November, culinary specialties are served during Goose and Game Week. The inn also serves as a culinary showroom for the online meat shop Mezga.

The 5-star Hotel Weisses Rössl, on the other hand, is once again offering Japanese delights this winter season. The highly popular ZUMA consists essentially of three different components: the main kitchen with a selection of contemporary dishes, the sushi bar, and the robata grill. Another recommendation is Casa Jondal – arguably Ibiza's most famous beach club, which, along with its crew, is once again moving to Kitzbühel this winter with a Mediterranean-inspired menu. World-renowned chef Rafael Zafra is known for creating exquisite seafood with minimal preparation at the highest level – always using the finest ingredients, which he treats with the utmost respect and craftsmanship.

The restaurant in the sports park, formerly known as Don Luigi, was taken over by a new owner in July 2025. The Ristorante – Pizzeria Mamma Mia delights with Italian specialties such as homemade pasta, stone-baked pizza, fine wines, and authentic Italian hospitality. Additionally, the bowling alley, directly above the restaurant, is back in operation. Schilala, located right next to the Seidlalm and on arguably the most famous downhill ski run in the world – the Streif – has already established itself as an après-ski location in its first year. This event location is ideal for a drink, culinary delights, and spectacular views.

Following the new takeover, the popular meeting place on the Kitzbüheler Horn will begin its winter season on December 6, 2025, with homemade, regionally inspired dishes, a cozy hut atmosphere, and an inviting sun terrace. Outside of the season, the Hornköpflhütte can be booked for private events and groups upon request. The popular Achenstüberl in Reith bei Kitzbühel will reopen in December 2025 – a particularly recommended stop during a winter hike or cross-country skiing trip. Whether it's for an afternoon on the terrace, a drink between meals, or for night owls, the newly acquired bar has already made a name for itself.

Where all shopping hearts beat faster
The best way to discover the latest innovations in the fashion and lifestyle sectors is to take a leisurely stroll through Kitzbühel's 750-year-old town center. For example, the Parisian luxury brand Hermès, known for exquisite fashion, watches, jewelry, perfumes, and elegant accessories, is opening a boutique in the former Café Praxmair in Kitzbühel's Vorderstadt district. This boutique is the third location in Austria, alongside Vienna and Salzburg. Ralph Lauren is also moving to the Gamsstadt, to the former Gössl store. Since 1967, the brand, with its distinctive American style consisting of clothing, accessories, and much more, has been one of the world's most recognized brand families.

The traditional label Strenesse is back in Kitzbühel. The new, less formal, more casual collection features clean lines, androgynous silhouettes, and monochrome palettes in white, gray, and black. The new era will be ushered in with a pop-up at KaDeWe in Berlin—and, of course, the location in Kitzbühel's Vorderstadt district, opposite the Kitz Galleria. Airforce, a Dutch manufacturer of high-quality premium winter jackets, will be moving into the Vorderstadt district next to the Hotel Zur Tenne, and the French skiwear brand Fusalp, founded in Annecy in 1952, will open its store on Josef-Herold-Straße with the goal of creating a unique sporty silhouette that showcases the art of movement and French elegance. With its innovative approach, the brand stands for elegance, performance, and comfort—both on and off the slopes.

From the end of November 2025, luxury accessories will be impressively showcased in Kitzbühel's largest multi-label store – the Michael Meyer Gallery. Designed by a renowned Italian architectural studio, the store will combine modern aesthetics and style with Kitzbühel charm, presenting an eclectic mix of international high-end brands such as Celine, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Chloé, Loewe, and more. A special highlight is the new store's exclusive Dior shop-in-shop.

But the Kitz Galleria, the city's department store, is also home to new shops and brands. For example, the internationally renowned fashion brand Wellensteyn, which is opening its store in the Kitz Galleria before the winter season. At concept 12, select brands and hand-picked decorative items come together. Starting this winter, alongside well-known labels such as Liebeskind Berlin, Betty & Co, Fynch-Hatton, and EMU Australia, the women's clothing company Someday will be moving in, combining timeless designs with modern elements and high-quality materials.

The Kastenhuber Group has stood for exceptional fashion and exclusivity for over two decades. In the most sought-after luxury destinations – from the North Sea island of Sylt to the metropolis of Hamburg and Kitzbühel – its premium boutiques create an exclusive shopping experience. And since the summer season, they have also opened a new store in Kitzbühel's Vorderstadt district. The children's fashion store Kaeufer – with brands such as il Gufo, Save the Duck, Veja, et Chocolat, Stella McCartney, and many more – is located in Hinterstadt, next to the restaurant Das neue Greif. The Studio G10 gallery, on the other hand, is more than just a shopping destination; the passion for contemporary art and beautiful things has accompanied the Bodner family for several generations. After a long and intensive renovation phase, the former Farben Bodner business premises now offer a creative space dedicated to art and beautiful things with great attention to detail. From the end of November 2025, the NervenKITZel exhibition will feature paintings that reflect the artist and composer Zoë Kronberger's life experiences in the Alps.

Sweet delicacies are available at the new Läderach store in Vorderstadt, where Läderach fresh chocolates, free from preservatives, and pralines are made exclusively from the finest ingredients and decorated by hand with meticulous attention to detail. Daily Pilates reformer classes are offered for beginners and advanced students, with professional training tailored to the individual needs of each participant and taught exclusively by trained reformer trainers.

Kitzbühel Tourism's winter hiking program begins on December 5, 2025, and runs until April 10, 2026. Guided winter hikes are offered on Mondays and Fridays, and guided snowshoe hikes take place on Wednesdays, snow conditions permitting. Participation is free with the Kitzbühel guest card. In the Kitzbühel mountains, up to 3,000 stars can be seen with the naked eye in dark places; in bright cities, there are often fewer than 100 due to light pollution. The dates for the 2026 star hikes have already been set: Sunday, January 4, 2026, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, and Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Each hike begins at 7:30 p.m. The hike lasts approximately three hours.

The Kitzbühel Sportpark is home to Austria's only indoor curling hall, and the Kitzbühel Curling Club will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2025. Two state-of-the-art TrackMan golf simulators allow you to virtually play world-famous golf courses or specifically work on technique and distance awareness. The simulators can be booked by the hour, with or without an instructor. Also brand new this winter is the PuttView system – an innovative system for visual and digital support for putting practice. It helps you refine your putting game, try out new techniques, and perfect your short game in a fun way. Here, too, the motto is: fun and precision for young and old.

Highlights that inspire
Kitzbühel's events are known far beyond its borders and continue to develop year after year. Such as the Kitzbühel Advent Market, which is
From November 19 to December 28, 2025, the Kitzbühel Hinterstadt and the city park will be transformed into a magical place.
